Saint Jacob's is a wonderful community of faith that is making strives to live out its call as a Lutheran presence within Chapin, South Carolina and the world. We are a very loving and welcoming church that seeks to reach out and care for those in need and those seeking a church home. Saint Jacob's is a very stable and established congregation, with a founding date that goes all the way back to the 1760’s. We are very proud of this lineage and hold tight to this past that has helped shape our faith. And as much as we seek to learn and glean from our past it is also true that our church prayerfully moves into the future. For you will find that Saint Jacob’s understanding and mindset of ministry is very up to date and progressive, as we employ a "Team ministry" concept. A ministry mindset that calls for all of the baptized to use their gifts and skills, whatever they may be, in the ways that they feel called. In this way everyone is able to participate within the body of ministry and offer up their share. For we here at Saint Jacob's truly see ourselves as family and a part of the greater Church.
